POLICE OFFICERS AND THEIR FAMILIES
Established in 2006, the not-for-profit foundation initially aimed to raise funds for the construction of a monument honoring Huntsville Police Officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Today, this memorial proudly stands in front of the Huntsville Police Department headquarters, a testament to the community's support.
Over the years, it became evident that the foundation had successfully achieved its initial goal. In response to changing needs, a new Board of Directors was appointed in 2023. This dynamic team is actively working to broaden the foundation's scope and address additional gaps beyond traditional resources.
The foundation's updated mission focuses on providing support for fallen officer’s families/emergency response, holistic health, and outreach/education, aligning with the goals and efforts of the Huntsville Police Department to recognize the sacrifices made by our first responders and their families.
HPCF has three main areas of focus:
HPCF provides financial assistance and emotional support to the families of fallen officers who have died in the line of duty. HPCF also helps with funeral expenses, memorial services, and other needs that may arise.
HPCF provides assistance to officers and their families who are facing unexpected emergencies, such as medical bills, natural disasters, or personal crises.

HPCF supports mental health programs for law enforcement personnel, such as peer support groups, counseling services, stress management workshops, and wellness initiatives. HPCF recognizes that police officers face tremendous challenges and pressures on the job and they need resources to cope and thrive.
Our program is dedicated to offering financial assistance for the educational costs of children whose parents, often police officers, have been injured or fallen in the line of duty. We understand the immense sacrifices these brave individuals make to protect our communities, and we believe it is our responsibility to support their families during their time of need. Through this initiative, we provide scholarships, grants, and other forms of financial aid to ensure that these children have access to quality education, helping them pursue their dreams and aspirations. By alleviating the burden of educational expenses, we aim to show our appreciation for the heroes who serve and protect, and to provide a brighter future for the next generation.
